Senior Accountant Department - Accounting Reports To - VP,
Controller FSLA Status - Exempt Job Summary Position
responsibilities include processing/maintaining fixed assets,
prepaid accounts, responsible for executing a variety of financial
procedures, including month-end and year-end closing, general
ledger reviews, variance analysis, account reconciliations,
assisting with quarterly regulatory reporting, preparing estimated
tax entries and quarterly payment calculations, support liquidity
management, stock/share count reconciliation, Bank audits and other
accounting related support as needed. The Senior Accountant is also
responsible for assisting other department staff in contributing to
these procedures and analyses. Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for monthly fixed asset and prepaid accounting
- Supports daily liquidity and funds management
- Prepare general ledger certifications (i.e. correspondent bank
accounts, asset/liability general ledger accounts and bank control
accounts)
- Assist in the month end close process and reporting
- Prepare/provide information in connection with process
flowcharts, internal audits, FDICIA/SOX compliance, and regulatory
examinations
- Prepare entries for equity grants including restricted stock
awards (RSA), restricted stock units (RSU) and stock options
- Maintain and track stock accounting which includes outstanding
shares available, award agreements, and 1099-B fractional share
filings
- Update maintain equity tracking system
- Prepare estimated tax entries and quarterly tax payments
- Assist in preparing the quarterly Call Report and supporting
schedules
- Monitors and validates accounting processes and works with
senior management to recommend and implement process improvements
as needed
- Develops, implements, and maintains reporting procedures and
FDICIA documents
- Ensures activities are FDICIA compliant
- Works closely with several areas of the Bank in support of
financial reporting deliverables
- Builds and maintains rapport with internal departments and
external agencies involved in the financial reporting process
- Assists with external audits and reviews of the consolidated
financial statements with respect to financial reporting items
- Additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications
- 5+ years Accounting Experience
- 5+ years Bank Accounting; preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited
university
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel,
Word, and Power Point Technical Skills
- Stock tracking software (Optiontrax, Certent, etc.)
- Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills
- Shares expertise with others
- Accounts Payable core software (i.e., BankTel) Skills and
Competencies
- Performing tasks with minimal supervision
- Seeks help, asks questions, observes, and utilizes resources

- Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation

management skills with the ability to multi-task and manage
