Summary The Renewables Operations Analyst will play a critical role in managing the daily renewable natural gas (---RNG---) operations, working directly for the Biogas Operations Manager. The Analyst will assist with managing our monthly RNG supply/demand allocation strategy, facilitating our accrual process, coordinating regulatory compliance procedures with consultants, providing financial settlements with RNG suppliers and station customers, and distributing ongoing operational data to the team. Additionally, this role will work with Clean Energy---s accounting team to ensure all financial metrics are being reported accurately and timely, in addition to working with Clean Energy---s Renewables Upstream team on onboarding new RNG projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Oversee monthly RNG allocation and accrual processes, including settlement files. Collect, track, organize, and analyze large data set and documents required for reporting to regulatory agencies, suppliers, and customers. Manage RNG optimization file to increase LCFS credit generation yield. Coordinate with Clean Energy and third-party stations to record CNG and LNG dispensed volumes through the collection of utility invoices, dispenser reports, bills of lading, etc. Facilitate timely, monthly closings documents with Accounting that tie to the General Ledger using operational settlement files. Maintain commodity records/confirmations and product transfer documents. Ensure contracts and transactions are executed, organized, and maintained within an internal database system. Develop and maintain checklists, KPIs, timelines, and a standardized system for completing quarterly and annual RNG uploads. Manage any due diligence requests, audits, and or attestations that arise from the generation of environmental commodities. Research and report on factors influencing business performance and market changes. Provide financial analysis and modeling support to functional business groups and senior management. Assist in developing enhanced internal operational control policies and procedures, including producing Standard Operating Procedures. Summarize, manage, and maintain biogas supply and environmental commodity contracts. Assist with preparing the department budget and ongoing forecasting processes. Coordinate gas storage and gas logistics agreements as necessary with new RNG projects. Other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; 2 years of related experience and/or training; history working in renewables or traditional energy markets is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel. Advanced knowledge of accounting and database software. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations None required.
