POSITION: ICS - Grant Thornton U.S. Global Client Services Manager/Sr. Manager POSITION SUMMARY: Why become a Global Client Services team member? The Global Client Services (GCS) team supports Grant Thornton U.S. (GTUS) International Business Centers and International Business Groups in winning international projects, facilitating cross border service integration between GTIL member firms, and mobilizing talent throughout the international network. Our team of diverse and internationally experienced professionals supports the pursuit of international business opportunities across tax, audit, and advisory service lines to meet the needs of our clients around the world. GTUS's Global Client Services Group supports client service and business development between GTUS, the U.S. member firm of Grant Thornton International LTD.(GTIL), and other member firms in the GTIL network. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + Work directly with and support the National Managing Partner of Global Client Services, across a variety of strategic GCS internal projects and initiatives + Lead programs, projects, and initiatives to implement the GTUS international strategy and align Global Client Services goals to the GTUS strategy + Lead the Global Mobility Program by working closely with both inbound and outbound secondees, GTIL member firms, serving as a mobility strategy interface among service line and solution leaders, all in collaboration with the P mobility team + Work closely with internal functional teams including OneView, Engage, CMS, and centralized billing to lead projects refining processes and improving systems for tracking critical international data (i.e.; inbound and outbound referral sources and revenue) + Lead and further develop the GCS database for tracking global opportunity rate trends + Work directly with international stakeholders and leaders to advance the development of network-wide internal infrastructure strengthening projects that contribute to building service line capabilities within the GTIL member firm network + Lead and/or assist with the support of key global accounts, business planning and business development + Team on initiatives and provide tailored, excellent, highly responsive international business development support to Global Client Services leaders, including GTUS International Business Groups and International Business Center Directors + Provide leadership of international projects for GTIL that supports GTUS key accounts, builds global service delivery capacity, and drives revenue growth + Demonstrate high level of Grant Thornton global institutional knowledge and understanding of global firm governance, strategic drivers and international best practices + Lead the planning, development and execution of integrated Global Client Services team marketing events and revenue generating initiatives + Develop and lead/co-lead International Business Group marketing projects which may include market research, thought leadership, live events and webinars + Oversee the resource serving as GCS Knowledge Manager and providing guidance on maintaining the GTUS intranet "Canvas" community pages for Global Client Services. + Develop and implement marketing strategies to raise internal and external awareness of GCS wins and best practices via Canvas, Yammer, LinkedIn and additional media channels + Raise GTUS firm awareness of GCS support capabilities and strengthen the GCS brand internationally among GTIL member firms + Oversee research and the compilation of firm information in requests for credentials, qualifications, client references, thought leadership, etc. + Interface with GTIL team members from the GTIL International Business Support Function, NCT (Network Capabilities Team), International Business Center Directors and International Liaison Directors to help facilitate greater cross border collaboration and support the pursuit of international opportunities + Collaborate with GTUS national industry and service line marketing groups, to deliver industry and service line specific thought leadership, marketing actions and initiatives through Grant Thornton International channels + Support international proposals and high-profile global pursuit opportunities by working with the Pursuit Center of Excellence, GTUS proposal resource center and the GTIL International Business Support Function + Develop and maintain positive relationships with counterparts in GTIL member firms for ease of communication and collaboration on proposal opportunities + Utilize OneView and other innovative technologies to identify and track international client targets and business opportunities QUALIFICATIONS + B.S./B.A. in business, accounting, marketing, communications, or related field + 7-10 years' experience with an accounting and/or professional services firm a strength. International business development experience also a plus + Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and project teams autonomously, working under tight deadlines, when necessary + Secondment experience or experience living in a foreign country a plus + Foreign language skills, and the practical application of foreign language use abroad a plus + Interested candidates should demonstrate agility, an affinity for learning on the job and problem-solving as well as an ambition to work across service lines + The candidate should be a self-starter and demonstrate pioneering spirit + The candidate should be culturally sensitive and able to demonstrate agile and collaborative cross-cultural communication skills + Demonstrate the ability to develop and sustain a personal international network + This adaptable employee will need to be the kind of professional that thrives in an environment where they are expected to think strategically and are presented with new problems to solve + Flexible work hours may be required to accommodate GCS international partners and teammates due to time zone differences + International client services and service delivery experience is beneficial and marketing and business development experience + Outstanding oral and written communication skills appropriate to the international community is very important and experience leading in developing business-to-business communications, including promotional and direct marketing materials, PowerPoint presentations, proposals, etc. + Leading event planning, promotion and management experience with events like seminars and conferences, as well as "virtual" webcast/webinar events a bonus + It is essential that interested candidates strive to live by Grant Thornton's global values: Collaboration, Leadership, Excellence, Agility, Respect and Responsibility.
