We're actively seeking a talented Investor Communications Director to join our Global Institutional Investment Group (GIIG) in Newport Beach, CA. This role can be on-site or hybrid.

As an Investor Communications Director, you'll play a key role in Pacific Life's growth and long-term success by providing superior investor relations support and using your capital markets skillset to support the GIIG team.

How you will make an impact:

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to develop key investor messaging and a successful communications framework that articulates current performance and long-term strategy
  • Pro-actively interact with analysts and investors to understand market expectations and financial projections
  • Work closely with Financial Planning and Analysis and leadership teams to deeply understand our business and create a two-way communication channel with investors
  • Oversee and manage quarterly investor reporting, including IR Website, investor deck, organize roadshows, conferences, and due diligence meetings
  • Work strategically with pension funds, municipalities, securities lenders, and institutional asset managers to provide input in development of institutional products
  • Supervise all media, collateral and presentations materials for all internal and external meetings, presentations, or ad-hoc requests
  • Knowledgeable in STAT and GAAP accounting and able to translate to layman's terms
  • Manage the general account securities lending, cash collateral and short-term funding agreement portfolios
  • Proactively interact, coordinate and partner with Risk, Actuarial, Legal, Compliance, Accounting and Operations to manage day to day operations of funding and short-term portfolio

    The experience you will bring:
    • 10 to 15+ years of experience working in investor relations, investment banking, capital markets or corporate finance
    • College degree in finance, accounting, or similar discipline, MBA, CPA is preferred
    • Deep knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Statutory (STAT) relating to the insurance industry
    • With minimal supervision, must be able to work with peers, clients, stakeholders, 3rd party vendors and teams across business areas to accomplish core goals and execute team functions
      What will make you stand out:
      • CFA/MBA beneficial, but not required
      • Thorough working knowledge of the following systems / applications: MS Office Suite
      • Working knowledge of the following systems: Bloomberg, Salesforce

        Base Pay Range:

        The base pay range noted provides a basis to determine the appropriate offer dependent upon several factors including but not limited to geographic location, experience, skills, education and pay equity. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

        $138,400.00 - $173,000.00 - $233,600.00
