The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, including property accounting, balance sheets, property cash forecasting, loan statements, cash flow variance, and other related duties. This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of property accounting, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.Prepare balance sheets and income statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.Develop and maintain property cash forecasting models, analyzing trends and identifying potential risks and opportunities.Prepare loan statements and monitor loan activity, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.Analyze cash flow variances, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize cash management.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and legal, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance.Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.Mentor and train junior accounting staff, ensuring their professional development and growth.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred.3+ years of experience in property accounting or related field.Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.Experience with property management software, such as Yardi or MRI.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and patterns in financial data.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects and tasks.Experience mentoring and training junior staff is a plus.If you are a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant with a passion for the mortgage industry, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
