THE OPPORTUNITY
The Sr. Manager will lead and manage a team that is responsible for
collaborating/coordinating on all facets of Sourcing activities for
indirect restaurant supplies, services, and NRO equipment across
the Company ($600M+ of spend annually). The role will also lead the
Procure-to-pay team responsible for PO execution. The focus of this
role is to work with stakeholders from each business area to make
smart sourcing decisions in selecting external vendors to maximize
the value in investments, to mitigate risks through smart contract
negotiations, and find cost savings opportunities. This position
requires excellent communication and service mentality as the Sr
Manager will be responsible for interfacing with Global & Local
Sourcing/Marketing/Finance/Business Unit clients on a regular
basis. This person will also recommend and set procurement
strategies/priorities for their team and provide thought leadership
on procurement/sourcing strategies regarding operations, processes,
and infrastructure improvements.
What You'll Do
In addition to following Chipotle's policies and procedures,
principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
Serve as an escalation point for direct reports and facilitate
resolutions for complex problems. Take the lead when necessary to
communicate to senior leadership.
Lead and manage ad hoc high-profile projects and those that fall
outside of the teams' responsibilities in order to support the
needs of the business
Develop sourcing strategies to unlock future savings opportunities.
Work with team to build and refresh the roadmap for indirect,
services, and NRO equipment. Set objectives (SMART goals) for
individual team members and review with them regularly
Develop and manage various business stakeholder relationships
within the indirect spend categories and ensure procurement
involvement in projects that utilize outside partners
Serve as a mentor for team members and support team development
activities to broaden skill set to support future sourcing
projects/initiatives
Follow the stage gate process and engage with XP partners to bring
new products, services, and equipment in the business
Build strategy to meet NRO targets in both quantity and spend.
Engage with XF partners to communicate strategy, highlight risk,
and build alignment on execution.
Develop the capabilities within to team to scale NROs over time
Host business reviews with suppliers, develop and set KPIs with
team for suppliers, and hold suppliers accountable

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Finance (MBA
Preferred)
5-8 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing or Procurement
Value generation/Savings/ROI This will require bringing senior
executives together from different Segment to develop common
interests and strategies.
Develop and implement tools to allow rigorous cost and market
analysis to be completed by the Sourcing professionals
Ensure consistent application of procurement processes across
constituent groups
Develop, implement, monitor, and report performance measures that
demonstrate value and ensure supplier performance
Build and maintain relationships with key Segment/Functional
executives to ensure full understanding and support for sourcing &
procurement initiatives
Track, and report savings, spending compliance and variances:
communicate results with the Director, Head of Supply Chain, and
selected stakeholders
Perform supplier performance reviews and supplier compliance audits
in conjunction with the business as appropriate
Build/establish strategic relationships with key suppliers.
Serve as a business partner to Segment/Functional key stakeholders
by identifying their critical business requirements and providing
procurement services to meet/exceed their expectations
Provide rigorous cost and market analysis following the models
established by Strategic Sourcing focusing on the total cost of
ownership
Prepare for and execute clear, structured negotiations following
the Strategic Sourcing process
Identify, develop, and deploy best practice supplier management,
procurement and Category management practices
Drive internal skill/capability development to broaden and build
staff skill sets
Manage 3 direct reports that support the indirect sourcing
category
Able to demonstrate Strong knowledge of Category Management
framework (analysis, strategy, implementation, measurement) and
proven experience in creating category strategies
Demonstrate the ability to exceed the demands of various internal
stakeholders across multiple business units and regions
Demonstrate the ability to work strategically and develop strong
business cases for change
Detailed and structured cost/financial analysis experience
Strong negotiation skills with an ability to influence clients at
all levels in the organization
Demonstrated capability to build/sustain high performance teams
Ability to perform proficient data analysis, financial analysis,
superior communication and presentation skills, negotiation skills,
influencing skills.
Understanding of procurement process: spend analysis, opportunity
identification, RFI/RFP process, stakeholder management,
negotiations, and contracting
Supply chain management related certification: CPIM, CPSM, CSCP,
six sigma, etc.

PAY TRANSPARENCY
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this
position is $143,000 to $210,000. You are also eligible for annual
cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other
factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill
level, experience, and/or education. Chipotle offers a competitive
