Front Office Medical Receptionist is responsible for patient intake
and care. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to,
greeting and registering patients, verification of insurance
eligibility and benefits, payment collection and posting,
scheduling appointments and answering patient questions in a
professional and respectful manner. Patient empathy, data entry,
and ease of handling a high volume of patients are fundamental

on our website: RESPONSIBILITIES: Greets high volume of patients
with courteous, proactive, and responsive customer service
Facilitates patient flow by notifying the clinical staff of
patients' arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with
patient and clinical staff effectively Accurately documents patient
data including demographic, billing, and insurance information
during the registration process Verifies insurance eligibility
Explains financial requirements to the patient or responsible
parties, collect payments accordingly Follows appointment
scheduling protocol per physician instructions Ensures work space,
reception and patient waiting areas are neat and organized at all
times Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and
compliance guidelines established by the practice. Meets all
Productivity Standards/Goals Performs other General Office Duties

requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching.
Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to
operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other
office equipment is also required. Employee must have normal range
of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate
appropriate reports and may need to lift up to 15 pounds.Reasonable
