Credit Reporting is responsible for managing aspects of the
pre-transmission file review of the Metro 2 file contributed to
Credit Reporting Agencies (CRA) to ensure accuracy and integrity
before the file is transmitted. Works cross-functionally with teams
to audit and provide oversight into accounts for accuracy checking
the contents of the Metro 2 file for the accounts against the
source systems. Identifies anomalies in distributions of fields
reported to identify potential inaccuracies and notify management.
Initiates the remediation or change management process. Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Manage various consumer reporting processes and controls to
ensure the accuracy and integrity of consumer reporting files.
Serve as a subject-matter expert of Metro 2 furnishing for
adherence to FCRA and CRRG requirements. Perform monthly consumer
reporting processes and control activities to ensure the accuracy
and integrity of consumer reporting files, including:
- Monitor and auditing credit files.
- Conduct and provides oversight for auditing, processing and
remediation for CRA files.
- Review reports from CRAs on report file quality
- Compare HCA Metro 2 file to CRA reports for our accounts using
available tools.
- Monitor and review various system enhancements impacting
downstream reporting requirements.
- Partner with credit bureaus on annual data quality
initiatives.
- Credit reporting issues remediation:
- Communicate potential defects in reporting.
- Partner with Compliance, Dispute Team, business owners and IT
to raise issues and identify solutions and track remediation
efforts.
- Initiates cross-functional teams to manage and remediate any
issues that could potentially impact the organization.
- Partner with key stakeholders, adjacent business owners, Legal,
Compliance and IT to identify and perform root cause analysis of
potential issues. Participate in applicable remediation efforts and
support internal/external examinations. Review trends in Metro 2
data:
- Create historical trend reports to identify anomalies that
could indicate inaccuracies, checking against source systems when
needed.
- Develop requirements for trend reports and compare trends in
Metro 2 reporting.
- Design and implement audit processes and improve data quality
and consistency.
- Perform all other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Skills:
- SQL, SAS, Excel or other procedural language for reporting
development.
- Knowledge of credit reporting, FCRA, and Metro 2.
- Ability to explain complex systems and data succinctly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of typical finance industry and/or automotive
concepts and metrics are a plus.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
- Six plus years of experience working in consumer reporting
operations, preferably in the automotive finance space or
CRAs.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business
Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics OR
equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical
