TerraNova Church is searching for a Teaching Pastor who will thrive in a primary speaking role and has the ability to engage skeptics, far-from-God, and the de-churched. Additionally, this leader understands that great preaching leads to application and life-change. The Opportunity The Teaching Pastor will serve as TerraNova’s primary Sunday morning communicator , partnering closely with the Lead Pastor to shape the church’s teaching voice, discipleship culture, and spiritual formation. This is a meaningful season at TerraNova as we continue strengthening our community, with a focus on reaching young families. What You’ll Do 1. Teaching & Preaching Work in collaboration with the Lead Pastor to develop message series and deliver biblically faithful and engaging sermons. 2. Relational Ministry Actively build relationships within the church to create connection, provide care, and help people find and fully follow Jesus. 3. Spiritual Formation Help shape and support environments (life groups, seminars, workshops) that move people along the pathway of spiritual formation. Scope based on gifting and team structure. 4. Collaborate in Staff Leadership Participate as a key leader on the staff team: from contributing to vision & culture, to providing support and supervision. Experience & Qualifications A mature Christian faith, theological depth, and humility & integrity. Proven preaching/teaching experience. Ministry leadership experience (church, nonprofit, or related setting). Seminary training or equivalent theological education preferred. Strong cultural awareness and communication instincts are essential. Compensation & Details Status: Full-Time Compensation: $80,000–$100,000 (depending on experience) Benefits: Medical reimbursement plan, employer-matching retirement plan, PTO, expense accounts for personal growth and development Application Notes: As part of your application, please include links to at least two preaching or teaching video samples.
