Overview Foot Locker currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Industrial Engineer located at our Reno, NV Distribution Center (DC) in North America. This role is part of our Supply Chain Strategy and Transformation team where exciting changes are continually happening. This role will have many opportunities to highlight their strengths in critical thinking, problem solving, and innovativeness as they work on and lead many exciting projects throughout our supply chain. The Senior Industrial Engineer's primary responsibility is to serve as the leader on operational process opportunities and issues at one of Foot Locker's North American DC's. This critical position develops process improvements, provides technical expertise, identifies opportunities for cost savings and enhancements, partners with other departments to successfully implement those changes, analyzes data, performs time studies, builds and maintains standards, and makes updates and changes as needed in the labor management system. This position will be a proactive leader in the ongoing development of internal and external strategic partnerships to successfully maintain and implement labor standards, develop a culture of continuous improvement, develop innovative solutions to problems, and improve operational key performance indicators. • Maintain and implement labor standards in Manhattan's WMOS and an internal system utilizing Maynard Operations Sequence Technique (MOST) and time study methods
• Understand and identify opportunities within the Warehouse Management System (WMS), Warehouse Execution System (WES) and Warehouse Control System (WCS)
• Develop innovative projects to improve productivity in the facilities
• Initiate, prepare, and present business cases contributing to an increased efficient and effective operation
• Analyze strategic data from multiple data sources finding trends and opportunities in the data to drive improvements and track results
• Act as a change management champion in Supply Chain who develops relationships and brings all parties along in the process Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related analytical field
  • Minimum of 3+ years of post-secondary education work experience in a distribution, production, or manufacturing environment (retail distribution experience preferred) Technical Experience: -
    • 4-6 years' experience in continuous improvement, industrial engineering discipline, or labor standards experience including building and maintaining standards in a labor management system
    • Experience writing and developing SOPs collaboratively with operations and presenting those to associates and management
    • Must be proficient in labor standards (WMoS labor management experience strongly preferred), MOST (or similar system), labor management software, and Microsoft Office Knowledge/Skills:
      • Able to work as part of cross functional/global teams and coordinate activities in an engaging way / no silo mentality
      • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
      • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box
      • Strong presentation and communication skills
      • Project management skills with hands-on attitude
