a stable and exciting company in the hospitality industry seeking
an experiencedHuman Resources Director to run their corporate HR
operations. The HR Director will be directly responsible for
aligning business objectives with employees and management in
designated business units. The position serves as a consultant to
management on human resources-related issues.*This is a direct hire
and onsite position (Newport Beach, CA)Core Duties:Conducts
recruitment effort for all exempt and non-exempt personnel;
conducts new hire orientations and coordinates onboarding program;
and writes and places advertisements.Maintains HRIS records and
runs audit reports to ensure data is accurate and up to
date.Administers various human resources policies and procedures
and developments and implements personnel policies and
procedures.Analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions,
programs, and policiesManages and resolves employee relations
issues; conducts effective, thorough, and objective
investigations.Maintains in-depth knowledge of federal and state
employment laws & regulations related to day-to-day management of
employees to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory
compliance.Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to
line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development,
disciplinary actions).Works closely with management and employees
to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase
productivity and retention; provides HR policy guidance and
interpretation.Conducts periodic meetings with function heads to
ensure proactive HR support is provided in a timely manner.Reports,
maintains, and monitors all workers' compensation case files and
leave of absence cases; follows through all open claims and
leaves.Identifies training needs for business units and individual
executive coaching needs.Participates in evaluation and monitoring
of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure
training objectives are met.What we're looking for:Bachelor's
degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development,
or related discipline from an accredited 4-year university.Minimum
of 5 years of progressive HR experience; 3 years of being an
exempt-level HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.Experience in the
hospitality or restaurant industry preferred.Bilingual in English
and Spanish preferred.Hands-on experience in multiple human
resource disciplines, including payroll and benefits
administration, workers' compensation, leave of absence,
recruitment, employment relations, and investigation.Demonstrated
excellence in verbal and written communication skills.Must be
proficient in MS Office, ADP, Radar/Ctuit experienceDemonstrated
understanding and application of HR legal compliance; maintain and
expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal
and state employment laws/regulations.Must be able to handle
confidential information.Strong ownership and high integrity.
