Job Description:
The main objective of this position is to support the
underwriting team so loan volume and thus total revenue can
increase. You will coordinate the workflow of borrower draw
requests including reviewing due diligence and processing draw
approvals, as well as maintain oversight of loans at risk of
default. -This role will be a liaison between lenders, borrowers,
inspectors, internal teams, and our clients to coordinate incoming
requests in a timely manner. You must have an innate ability to
switch gears quickly, stay organized, focused, and prioritize a
heavy workload. The lending department produces results above the
industry norm so you must be prepared and have the ability to have
difficult conversations. -This is a key position with an

Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000 + Commission (should represent 25%
of base salary)
*This role does require you to work in person at our Newport Beach,
CA office
Responsibilities:
--- Work in tandem with the underwriting team to collect borrower
scope of work/draw schedule and audit for accuracy/reasonability -

--- Communicate draw requirements/process with borrowers and set
their expectations clearly - -
--- Review all incoming draw requests for completeness and accuracy
- -
--- Evaluate the draw package to ensure compliance with loan terms,
ask questions and compare it to the draw schedule prior to sending
it off for approval -
--- Work with the Lender and Private Lending Team to coordinate
approval and release of funds and document on our Website - -
--- Maintain knowledge of changing construction regulations and
policies and provide feedback regarding new systems/processes -
--- Audit renovation loans monthly and present the reports to the
private lending team at monthly Pipeline meetings -
--- Become an expert in evaluating and mitigating risks - -
--- Escalate risks identified to the Manager -
--- Liaise with Lenders, Borrowers, Attorneys, and third-party
Vendors to identify action plan upon loans entering default - -
--- Manage loan defaults from start to finish including following
up with all parties involved regularly -
Qualifications:
--- Bachelor's degree preferred -
--- 3 years of construction knowledge and project management skills
are a plus -
--- Ability to work at a high volume -
--- Must be very detail-oriented and organized -
