This person will be responsible for managing assurance engagements, with minimum oversight by the Partner, be an active role model and leader for staff to emulate and meet billable hour requirements.Responsibilities


  • Manage and supervise the execution of audit engagements of various clients
  • Generate budgets
  • Maintain profitable realization rates
  • Review reports and financial statements
  • Review with the engagement partner significant findings that raise questions involving auditing standard and firm policy
  • Manage risk and ensure quality control procedures are being executed
  • Be involved in practice development including new service development and identify areas to grow current client portfolio
  • Assume responsibility for billing and collections when circumstances permit
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with client management
  • Provide on-the-job training to associates
  • Generate new business annually for new and existing clients
  • Represent the firm by presenting on areas of expertise at 3rd party events
  • Effectively manage employee and client expectations
  • Complete performance evaluations constructively and timely, and also provide ongoing performance feedback to employees
  • Maintain required annual CPE

    Qualifications

    • BBA/BS/MS in Accounting
    • Must be a licensed CPA
    • Seven years of financial statement audit experience with a public accounting firm
    • Applied knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)/Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
    • Ability to communicate professional/technical knowledge and multi-task in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
    • Effective business advisory skills
    • Decisively identify and execute solutions to problems
    • Thorough understanding of complex technical issues
    • Ability to meet challenging client requirements and provide exceptional service as well
    • Travel - Most of the offices clients are in the Orange County area. There may be some travel 10% to 15% outside the OC area.
