Job Description:
Summary The Sustainability Manager ("Manager") will oversee
internal and external sustainability efforts working directly with
various departments in the company. Reporting to the Director,
Sustainability, the Manager has primary responsibility for the
annual Corporate Sustainability Report (CSR), creating the strategy
and service offerings to tackle the ESG goals of potential
customers, and support the sales team with sustainability
initiatives to grow RNG sales. Additionally, the Manager will work
holistically with fellow Clean Energy Renewables ("Renewables")
team members to support the broader RNG business platform.Salary
range: $90K - $100K DOE Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Working with
the existing sustainability team, develop internal ESG criteria and
goals for reporting within the company's CSR that aligns business
practices and operations. Additionally, Manager will oversee and
write the annual CSR with support from the internal team and
independent third-party consultants.Deploy the CSR as an additional
resource to engage with customers and stakeholders.Create tailored,
company and industry specific presentations and analyses that
demonstrate the use of RNG as a sustainability and compliance tool
for meeting ESG targets and goals.Cultivate high-impact
partnerships to delivery strategic value to Clean Energy's business
and advance the role of RNG in the heavy-duty transportation
market.Provide continuous training and support to the Clean Energy
sales team. Create internal reporting standards surrounding RNG
products, including customer reporting of volumes, GHG reductions,
and RNG Certificates.Identify and manage initiatives to help Clean
Energy achieve its GHG Reduction Goals in Scope 1, 2 and 3,
including but not limited to renewable energy procurement.Improve
the company's efforts in the 2 sustainability pillars of social and
governance.Collaborate with Renewables and IT to lead on creation
of renewables market data platform using PowerBI as well as
creation and implementation of an internal supplier diversity
report.Represent Clean Energy at industry, renewable fuel coalition
and sustainability focused events Ownership of sustainability and
carbon news and trends, including its application and use as a
customer communication tool, providing regular updates to the team,
along with publishing an internal quarterly sustainability
report.Organize and develop a database containing companies and
government/public entities that are ESG-focused and/or stated
carbon or sustainability goals, including ESG-focused investment
firms and managed funds.Support the sustainability team with
initiatives pertaining to the WBCSD, global carbon accounting, GHG
Protocol, SBTi and other sustainability frameworks.Other Ad-hoc
responsibilities and duties as required.Supervisory
Responsibilities Manage a team of sustainability personnel to
continuously improve and execute duties in a timely manner.
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must

in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Marketing, Business or
similar in a related field, 3-5 years of related experience; and/or
equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in
the renewable fuels and energy industry welcome, but not required.
PowerBI experience or ability in ERP relational databases
preferred. Candidates with advanced knowledge of LCA modeling and
carbon accounting in different sustainability standards and
frameworks like the GHG Protocol, CDP, The Climate Registry, RE100
highly favored Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and
interpret general business periodicals, professional journals,
technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write
reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to
effectively present information and respond to questions from
groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general
public.Mathematical SkillsAbility to work with mathematical
concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and
fundamentals of stoichiometry. Ability to apply concepts such as
fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical
situations.Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems
and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where
only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety
of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule
form.Computer SkillsProficient in all Microsoft Office applications
including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Knowledge of
Microsoft Dynamics preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
