General Summary: Manager, HCI Business Systems Engineer will be part of a talented IT service delivery team that demonstrates superb technical competency. They will deliver mission critical requirements and ensure the highest levels of availability, and system performance. Strong background in IT, computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis is needed.

• Responsible for Hyundai Capital Insurance (HCI) application
• Lead developers through formal and informal discussions, code reviews, design reviews, guide on technical designs or solutions Duties and Responsibilities:
• Business Analysis, Requirements Gathering and Finalization
  • Partner with business units to understand business pain points to translate to technical/functional requirements adhering to HCA best practices while uncovering impacts to upstream or downstream processes.
  • Proactively act as solution consultant bringing process improvements to business teams by fully understanding capabilities of the system and effectively communicating the value and efficiencies of a change.
  • Intake business requirements to provide impact assessment identifying estimates (cost/time) to develop.
  • Solution Design and Configuration
    • Map business requirement to functional design; identify instances if a change requires system configuration or code updates or combination thereof. Make decision for type of development; UI, web-service, batch, etc.
    • Design to-be system based on business requirements.
    • Create or review design documents with solution. The design should include technical aspects, pseudo codes, logics and system database mapping, etc.
    • Communicate and enforce design, coding standards and best practices.
    • Change the functional configurations to accommodate biz requirements.
    • Manage Developers / Engineers or IT Partner / Vendor resources.
    • Responsible for fulfilling KSOX Compliance Requirements on key areas such as IT Security, Access Controls, Data and Change Management Knowledge and Skills:
      • Software analysis and design (Insurance system experience preferred)
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Oracle DB and SQL knowledge required Qualifications
        • 10+ years in a Business System Engineer or Business Analyst role
        • Proven track record of successfully participating all aspects of a software development project
        • Experience in financial services and/or automotive industry preferred
        • Bachelors degree in software development, Computer Engineering, or related field.
