Director of Nursing is responsible for all aspects of nursing care
delivery in the facility. As a Registered Nurse, the Director of
Nursing is also responsible for assessing, planning, implementing,
and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge.Assumes
responsibility as Department Manager of Pre PreOP/ PACU Departments
Making sure patients receive information in a timely
fashionResponsible for the Quality Improvement/Risk Management
Program for the center and Education Coordinator for the facility
as wellResponsible for assessing, planning, implementing and
coordinating patient care from admission to discharge.Assumes some
responsibility of the Administrator in his/her absenceCorrelates
clinical data with patients medical and nursing careset
prioritiesprovide direction to others that is clear, concise and
promotes efficiency throughout the clinical areas of the
facilitycommunicate well with patients, families, Teammates,
physicians, other healthcare workers, etc.Recognizes legal and
policy limits of individual practiceAssesses, plans, and evaluates
and ensures the implementation of the patients care to achieve
identified outcomes and delivers safe patient care according to
facility policy and procedure.Assumes a leadership role in the
provision of quality nursing care for patients receiving care in
Pre Op/PACU.Demonstrates continued competence in assessing,
treating, and caring for individuals based on age-specific needs
utilizing developmental perspective.Demonstrates appropriate and
continued knowledge and competence of designated skills identified
for position.Assists in the evaluations of assigned staff.Utilizes
time effectively.Follows established facility policies and
procedures with regard to attendance.Completes all documentation to
ensure the availability of accurate and up to date information in
accordance with established standards.Adheres to established
facility safety requirements and procedures to ensure a safe
working environment.Completes appropriate financial management
responsibilities.Assists with housekeeping tasks as necessary to
provide a safe environment for patients, teammates, physicians,
guests.Performs all other duties as assigned by
management.Maintains and evaluates own clinical expertise and
clinical practice.Responsibly demonstrates and the importance of
continuing education to the performance of facility
responsibilities and growth in profession.Performs all other duties
as assigned by management.Upholds and practices the principles and
policies of the DISC Compliance program.Demonstrates the safe
operation of equipment and machinery and follows procedures for
reporting and correcting an unsafe situation.Communicates patient

Required:Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BNS)Education
Desired:Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN)Experience Required:At
least two (2) to five (5) years of nursing and management
experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery centerAbility to
anticipate the needs of the medical team and respond quickly and
efficientlyExperience Desired:Familiarity with electronic medical
records systems, such as Epic and DrChrono, is a plusExperience in
Spine, Ortho, or Pain ManagementLicense and Certification
Required:Registered Nurse in the state of California - Current and
in good standingBLS (Basic Life Support) certificate must be
obtained within 90 days of employment or documentation of current
certificateBCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certificate must be
