Research indicates that students living on campus tend to have higher GPAs, better retention and graduation rates, and complete degrees more quickly, making this work impactful and measurable.As part of the university's development team, the Associate Director will help develop and lead fundraising strategies that directly benefit students. Responsibilities include identifying and cultivating new donor audiences, building a strong portfolio in collaboration with the University Relations and Development (URAD) team, and aligning fundraising efforts with institutional priorities.Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Support Fund Development: Design and oversee fundraising initiatives to provide stipends, scholarships, and emergency grants for students experiencing housing and/or food insecurity.
  • Residential Capital Projects: Collaborate with URAD to develop a building inventory and pricing strategy to support "Capital Renewal" efforts and potential new student housing projects.This position offers a unique opportunity for a mid-level fundraising professional to make a tangible difference in students' lives while supporting the university's vision of inclusive student success and campus growth.Position Information
    • This is a full-time, at-will position with comprehensive benefits.
    • Designated exempt under FLSA; not eligible for overtime.
    • Standard work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with possible variation based on operational needs.

The Office of Housing Administration (OHA) manages housing for over 8,900 students across 25 communities, with an annual operating budget exceeding $145 million, overseeing residence halls, apartments, and conference spaces to enhance student life.Education and Experience
      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
      • At least 3 years of progressive development or related experience.
      • At least 2 years of direct experience in personal gift solicitation ($25,000+).Key Qualifications
        • Proven success in gift fundraising ($25K+), aligning strategies with organizational goals.
        • Experience working with volunteers and corporate leaders.
        • Ability to travel and attend off-campus events.
        • Flexibility to work during non-business hours for events.
