Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: Ongoing - Up to 12.00 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Per Diem We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our maternal care team on a per diem basis for day shift coverage in California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in obstetric nursing and will be confident in supporting patients through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery in a high-acuity environment. /n/n/nKey Responsibilities:/n/n /n/t - /n/t Provide direct patient care during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum /n/t /n/t - /n/t Monitor fetal heart tones, contractions, and maternal vital signs /n/t /n/t - /n/t Assist in vaginal and cesarean deliveries and respond to obstetric emergencies /n/t /n/t - /n/t Administer medications, IV fluids, and epidural support in coordination with providers /n/t /n/t - /n/t Educate patients and families on labor progression, pain management, postpartum care, and newborn care /n/t /n/t - /n/t Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR /n/t /n/t - /n/t Collaborate closely with OB/GYNs, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and other members of the care team /n/t /n/t - /n/t Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant environment aligned with hospital protocols /n/t /n /n/n/nRequirements:/n/n /n/t - /n/t Active California RN license (Required) /n/t /n/t - /n/t BLS certification (AHA – Required) /n/t /n/t - /n/t AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (Required) /n/t /n/t - /n/t Minimum 1 year of recent L&D experience (Preferred) /n/t /n/t - /n/t Excellent communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills /n/t /n/t - /n/t EMR experience (EPIC preferred) /n/t /n Sable Corporation Job ID 2025-129.
