Job Description Job Description Benefits: 401(k) Job description Boutique Proctology Surgical Practice seeking Advanced Practice Provider - Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with previous GI or related specialty experience required. The candidate will have a strong combination of manual dexterity, clinical skills, management abilities and integrity. The ideal candidate will feel comfortable performing in office procedures. The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will be closely working with our Board Certified Proctologic Surgeon in an outpatient setting, initially receiving didactic educational training followed by hands-on procedural training. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Independently obtains a relevant health and medical history Performs a physical examination based on age and history and maintain accurate medical records, if needed with the assistance of our Proctologic Surgeon Performs and/or orders preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures based on the patients age, symptoms and history Performs Anoscopic Examinations, administers various Hemorrhoid Treatments, performs in office procedures such as excision of thrombosed external hemorrhoids and incision and drainage of perianal abscesses. Identifies health and medical risk factors accurately in order to choose the appropriate treatment modality QUALIFICATIONS: Prior Colorectal Surgery, Gastroenterology, Proctology Experience Job Type: Full-time Pay: $72.00 - $82.00 per hour Medical Specialty: Gastroenterology Colorectal Rectal Proctology Surgery Schedule: 8 hour shift Work Location: In person License/Certification: AED Certification (Preferred) DEA Certification (Required) CPR Certification (Preferred) Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License (Required) BC/BE (Preferred)
