We are currently hiring a Payroll Specialist to join our team. The
Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely
processing of payroll including verifying time records, computing
production-based pay and payroll deductions. The ideal candidate
has 2-3 years of experience in a similar role and strong
communication skills - the Payroll Specialist works closely with
managers and employees to resolve payroll issues while verifying
compliance with company policies and procedures.

$23 - $24 / hour Qualifications
- Proven understanding of payroll principles, rules, regulations
and their application.
- Previous experience and proficiency with payroll and HRIS
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
including accurate and meticulous data entry.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented with the ability to work
effectively and independently.
- High school diploma or the equivalent or two to three years of
related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
education and experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources,
Accounting or related field preferred.
- Process and issue employee pay and pay statements while
ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage,
and hour laws and best practices.
- Verify attendance, hours worked, overtime, sick days and
vacation days of employees.
- Maintains and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure
timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including
salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates
including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
- Process manual checks and adjustments as needed posting
earnings to designated account
- Serve as a communication-link between management and employees
by handling questions, interpreting and administering policies and
procedures and helping resolve payroll-related problems.
