That's why we're actively seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to join our team and take part in our people-first culture.As a Senior Systems Administrator, you'll play a key role in managing Pacific Life Linux and ESX infrastructure including OS deployment & patching, hardening, and disaster recovery planning/testing. You'll architect an overall solution that is aligned to the future roadmap and strategy. • 7+ Years of Experience as Linux Administrator in a large corporate environment
• Create scripts to automate administration tasks or support installed applications.
• Experience supporting Linux deployments in a Cloud environment
• Strong experience with VMware ESXi planning, deployment, configuration, and administration of host systems and virtual machines
• Experience with NAS and SAN storage systems
• Work with the project management team, technical team, and business unit to build server solutions
• Participate in performing and leading technology build, test, and deployment activities
• Continuously maintain and improve processes and procedures to improve productivity and effectiveness
• Maintain current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology, always on a lookout for new technologies, and work with management and development team in bringing new technologies to the organization
• Exercise mature judgment that creatively balances both centralized and business-aligned operational context
• Build and configure OS Security baselines, and make modifications following established processes. Experience with Security Patching methodologies, tools, and automation.
• Ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively to other team members
• Experience with Ansible, Python, JSON or other automation/orchestration languages and tools is a plusAt Pacific Life, the work we do matters.
