We are seeking a talented Front-End Web Developer to join the Retirement Solutions Division. The Retirement Solutions Division leverages its strengths in product development, technology, services and risk management to create retirement solutions for individuals, families, and businesses. With the guidance of financial professionals, customers have access to an array of an array of annuities and mutual funds designed to help grow assets and to provide retirement income for financial independence.You will be a key participant on the Web Development team with a focus on designing and developing web applications. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with a strong knowledge of web technologies and an ability to translate business needs into solutions. A commitment to collaborative problem-solving, sophisticated design, and a quality product is important.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Developing new user-facing features using React.js
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
• Analyze requirements and write, debug and maintain code used on the division's websites
• Participate with the team in support of continuous improvement of various custom web applications
• Deliver high quality applications that support standards and include appropriate documentationTECHNICAL SKILLS
  • 3+ years experience with JavaScript
  • 3+ years experience with React.js and its core principles close
  • 5+ years experience in software development
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • Experience with Bitbucket/Git
  • Experience with Build pipelines and continuous deployment tools
  • Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
  • Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools
  • Familiar with creating Custom Reusable React Components Library
  • Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principlesNice To Have (NOT Required)* Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.* Experience with working in an Agile/Scrum development project* Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools* Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token* Single page applications (SPAs) in AEM - React* Web services architecture (SOAP and/or RESTful APIs)
