WHAT YOU''LL BE DOING:Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.Collaborating with other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive code to enhance the user experience.Developing ideas for new programs, products, or features by monitoring industry developments and trends.Recording data and reporting it to proper parties, such as clients or leadership.Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming languages, and better assist other team members.Taking lead on projects, as needed (as you grow in your career with us).lDevelop new user-facing featuresBuild reusable code and libraries for future useEnsure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designsUse object-oriented analysis and design (Java) skills to create dynamic user facing pagesUtilize web services such as REST to create user facing pagesDatabase development with Cosmos & PostgresAnalyzing and refactoring existing source code for proprietary inhouse systemsOptimize application for maximum speed and scalabilityAssure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-endEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor of Science in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering, MIS or related field is preferred. Bootcamp and/or relevant certifications are a plus. GitHub or portfolio w/ submission is a plus.Microservices experience is a plus.1-2+ years of Java development w/ any MVC based framework. (Internship experience is welcome!)Rest API experience. Any DB experience, but Cosmos and/or Postgres is a plus.Any cloud experience is a plus (GCP, AWS, &/or Azure). If you also do full stack w/ HTML, CSS, JavaScript, &/or SPA JavaScript (Angular 6 or newer, React, etc.) that''s a big plus.Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools.Focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement.Familiarity w/ web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design helpful.
