Job Description Job Description Description As a Production Control Scheduler at Impulse , you will be the heartbeat of our production operations, ensuring seamless coordination of materials, schedules, and workflows to meet ever-changing priorities and requirements. Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, ensuring alignment with rapidly changing program priorities Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and external vendors, to gather inputs and adjust schedules as needed Prioritize and sequence work orders to maximize efficiency and maintain critical-path tasks Utilize planning tools such as ticketing systems, Kanban boards, and progress trackers to monitor and communicate production status Conduct daily stand-ups or production meetings to review schedules, address bottlenecks, and communicate any changes Oversee the flow of materials and components through the production process, ensuring timely availability for machining, assembly, and testing Monitor resource availability, including tools, materials, and personnel, to ensure technicians have what they need to execute their work Adjust workload distribution to address constraints or emerging high-priority tasks without disrupting overall workflow Identify and address bottlenecks or delays in the production process, implementing solutions to maintain efficiency Establish and maintain visual management systems to clearly indicate the status of parts and assemblies Ensure accurate tracking of inventory levels, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods Collaborate with supply chain and inventory teams to forecast material needs and prevent shortages or overstock situations Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and quality Implement process improvements and best practices to enhance production performance Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency certificate 3 years of experience in production control, manufacturing planning, or a similar role Proven ability to manage complex workflows in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing or R&D environment Strong understanding of production processes and the ability to create and maintain effective schedules Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail 3 years' of demonstrated proficiency with production planning tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Preferred Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or relevant experience in manufacturing or production 5 years' of demonstrated experience within the space industry standards and production practices 3 years' of demonstrated experience in environments with complex machining, assembly, and external vendor coordination Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Kanban systems, and continuous improvement methodologies Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documents Additional Information: Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options , and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan .
