Our goal is to leverage our years of experience in traditional power and gas markets, renewable energy and sustainability advisory, and engineering and implementation services to design solutions that empower our clients to build economically sustainable energy portfolios.Location:To be eligible for consideration, you must be local to the Dublin (OH), Newport Beach (CA) or Boston (MA) area as this position will report directly in to the office.Responsibilities:* Own, support and aggressively drive forward Edison Energy's Azure DW and Power BI implementations.* Drive Azure cloud data platform architectural decisions and development standards.* Work with Product Owner/Business Analysts to understand functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop, test, and release features.* Develop and maintain documentation of schemas, data flows and processes related to Azure DW* Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions.Qualifications:7 - 10 years of experience with:Azure Datawarehouse* Strong hands on experience in Azure data platform including Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Data Warehouse (Synapse Analytics), Azure Data Lake Storage. Knowledge in Azure Data bricks and Cosmos DB is a plus but not essential.* Monitor and create robust ETL processes specifically in the Azure DW using Azure data pipelines, Azure functions, SSIS, SQL, APIs, and industry best practices.* Mastery of SQL, specifically MS SQL Server 2012 and higher.* Troubleshoot ETL process as needed. Ability to identify bugs and apply fixes. Check data sanity and integrity by means of process audits.* Develop best practices and frameworks for unit, functional and integration tests around data pipelines.* Ability to analyze and understand data sources and design data models for capturing data and ETL.Power BI* Strong knowledge in Power BI. Experience in Azure Analysis services is not essential but a plus.* Hands on experience in developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop and DAX queries* Sound knowledge in security standards.
