That's why we're actively seeking an Assistant Vice President, Enterprise Program Office to join our team and take part in our people-first culture.As Assistant Vice President, you'll play a key role in Pacific Life's growth and long-term success by managing the Project Management Office (PMO) and Portfolio Program Management Team (PPM) supporting Pacific Life's Corporate Division. You will also help support the creation of business process optimization solutions within the Corporate Division, building process redesign and automation capabilities and sizing and tracking value across Pacific Life.Essential duties include:Project Management GovernanceSet standards for measurement criteria, methodologies, tools, etc. to be used by Corporate project and program managers to ensure consistencyCreate Community of Practice across the organization, encouraging sharing of information, best practices, and training among the division PMO teamsStrengthen PMO role and value proposition with executives and stakeholders within CorporateProject Tracking, Monitoring and Value RealizationDrive development and monitor progress of portfolio/program strategy, goals & metricsEnsure projects achieve critical milestones on time and on budget with timely communication between teams and senior managementProvide appropriate levels of project status reportingLeadership throughout entire project lifecycles, including project planning, initiation, resourcing, execution, monitoring, completion, and value realization/benefits tracking.Support the build out of business process optimization efforts, supporting Corporate efforts to achieve operational efficiencies through process redesign and automation.Project PrioritizationLead the corporate project portfolio management process, including resource tracking, ensuring value proposition and cost benefit analysis information is accurately assessed and utilized with senior leaders to assist in prioritization.Regular interactions with executives to define project priorities and implementation opportunities and challenges, ensuring project risks and opportunities are properly addressedProject Management Team LeadershipOversee corporate PMO organization structure, hiring and managing staffing requirements, and forecasting future needsDelegate work to project and program managers, ensuring right fit with projects and business sponsors.Oversee team members for the delivery of projects on time, within scope and on budgetSupports and utilizes innovation management techniques, geared towards challenging existing approaches, promoting increased collaboration, sharing knowledge, and experimentation. Ensures organization provides effective leadership, training, and development opportunities to staff regarding performance and career growth. As part of our transition toward a more digitally oriented, inclusive and employee-focused company, we're opening this role to candidates near Newport Beach, CA as well as those looking to work 100% remote.Factors for SuccessMinimum 10-15 year project and change management experience, with extensive knowledge of associated methodologies, techniques, processes and approaches.Experience leading large programs and small-scale projects with a wide variety of scope while consistently applying critical thinking skills. Experience in full life cycle business analysis including working with stakeholders to size impact potential for process redesign and technical projects a plus.Budget, cost and profitability management skills.Ability to blend innovation and agile methodologies with traditional project management to optimize solutions and collaboration. Ability to gather, analyze and organize business information to develop executive level presentations and business case frameworks.Vendor management and oversight including ability to manage compliance risks. Requires superior organizational, communication and facilitation skills and the ability to gain consensus in a project management matrix structure.Proven ability to develop talent and effectively lead teams, including senior individual contributors and leaders.
