St. Francis School of Law is a 100% online four-year JD degree
program that provides a rigorous, practical academic curriculum
taught by experienced faculty in an interactive, state-of-the-art
online learning environment. St Francis is accredited by the
Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California. St.
Francis School of Law is a college owned by Baker College and all
personnel information will come from Baker College
This Adjunct Faculty position is a comprehensive 12-week course
covering judicial review and the constitutional structure,
justiciability, the allocation of government power. limits of
federal legislative power, the Commerce Clause, separation of
powers' the takings clause and the contracts clause. Also the
course covers civil rights and liberties as set forth in the Bill
of Rights and Fourteenth Amendment, procedural and substantive due
process, protections for fundamental and non-fundamental rights,
and the different levels of review that apply to cases involving
classifications by race, gender, illegitimacy , LGBTQ status.
A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:
Teach credits in accordance with the Faculty Workload Policy.
Revise, review and/or develop curriculum, as needed
Complete all required professional development/training
Collect and submit required assessment of student learning data
Participate in appropriate campus and system committees, meetings,
projects, and activities

Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Professional work experience in the area of civil rights, political
science or criminal
justice or scholarly achievements (research, publications or
presentations) in those
areas.
A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a law school approved by the
American Bar
Association (ABA), accredited by the Committee of Bar Examiners of
the State Bar of
California or registered by the Committee of Bar Examiners of the
State Bar of
California
Admission to at least one U.S. jurisdiction. An active license is
not required, so long
as the attorney has not been disbarred or suspended via a formal
finding of discipline
by that state
Prior Law School teaching experience, preferred
