Definition

This position will remain open on a continuous basis with the first review date of November 24, 2022 OR until 150 applications are received. Please apply immediately as this recruitment may close at any time.

Currently there are two(2) part-time vacancies in the Revenue Division of the Finance Department. Oneposition will work approximately 30 hours per week and will perform duties related to customer service and business license compliance. The second position will work approximately 28 hours per week in customer service, including but not limited to, answering phone calls, helping customers at the counter, responding to voicemails, providing cashiering services, and opening and closing water utilities accounts.

SELECTION COMPONENTS:

1. Application Evaluation- The most qualified applicants will be invited to a virtual interview.

2. Virtual Interview - Tentatively scheduled for the week of November 28, 2022. Passing applicants will be placed on an eligibility list that may be used to fill future part-time Fiscal Clerk vacancies as they occur throughout the City.

Experience & Education and License/Certificate

A combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities may be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Experience: One year of general or accounting clerical experience including some statistical or financial record keeping.

Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade. Related college level courses highly desirable.

License/Certificate:Due to the performance of some field duties which require the operation of a personal or City vehicle, a valid and appropriate California driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required.
