As Business Continuity Consultant, you ll play a key role in
Pacific Life s growth and long-term success by driving the
Retirement Solutions Division's overall business continuity
program. While joining the RSD Risk & Controls team, you ll own the
business continuity portion of the Pacific Life Compliance and
Operational Risk taxonomy specific to the Retirement Solutions

AS A BUSINESS CONTINUITY CONSULTANT, YOU WILL:
Own the RSD relationship with Pacific Life as whole regarding
Ensure RSD s overall plan is well developed, appropriate to the
business risks, and agreed to and understood by each
Ensures RSD business continuity roles and responsibilities are
clear, understood and actionable.
Participate and influence the vision, development, communication,
and management of Business Continuity Program enterprise standards,
processes, and specifications.
Ensure our Business Continuity Program alignment with audit and
compliance efforts and legal, regulatory, and business drivers.
Partner with Business Continuity Committee (BCC) members to provide
guidance and direction of the Business Continuity Program,
including education of the 1st line of defense
Actively participate on our Pandemic Response Team Program.
Responsible for working with RSD divisional leaders to create
accurate, representative Business Impact Assessment documents.
Provides guidance, consulting, and training to business process
"owners" within specific lines of business and identifies
dependencies across business processes for coordinated planning and
Refreshes the Business Impact Assessment no less frequently than
annually to stay aligned with the changing business and technology
Manage and curate document library of all business continuity
Develops and maintains RSD business continuity program roadmap,
application inventory and schedule of application level testing by
Develops and maintains applicable Business Continuity Program
measurements and executive dashboard(s) as required.
Ensure business continuity tests are run regularly
Facilitates enterprise-wide Business Continuity Program or
divisional specific exercises or actual events, documenting
objectives, leading recovery processes, coordinating communication,
and leading assessments and lessons learned activities to support
Leads survey responses to business partners, regulators, and other

7+ years in Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery field of

Deep understanding of business continuity best practices
Deep understanding of ISO27002 / ISO22301 controls and

completion and achieve results in diverse and disparate
environments, and when seeking out guidance, offers recommendations
Strong interpersonal, communication, teamwork, consensus building,
and problem-solving skills demonstrated according to Pacific Life

IT WOULD BE EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE:
ISO 27001 Audit Certification
Strong understanding of Life Insurance and Retirement Services
business processes and technology infrastructure.
Team management skills and experience.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with emphasis on
translating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Ability to create a fast-paced, responsive environment to react
